“American Gangster” Ignoring NAC, Plans To Compete At Metamoris 4

Chael Sonnen

While the Nevada Athletic Commission tries to sort things out on their end, Chael Sonnen is planning to move forward with competing this weekend at Metamoris 4 against Andre Galvao.

According to a report by Bleacher Report, Sonnen will ignore a possible suspension by the NAC and face Galvao on Saturday. It was previously stated that Sonnen could be fined an excessive amount by the commission if he elected to compete, stemming from previous failed drug tests.

The former UFC No. 1 contender retired after he failed his first drug test earlier this year, but another failed test result also came back. Sonnen went in front of the NAC and admitted he wrongdoing, accepting their suspension of his fight license.

Sonnen-Galvao, though, is set to take place in Los Angeles as a grappling match inside the Petersen Automotive Museum. Check out a trailer for the event in the video below:

On the one hand, NSAC deserves credit for banning that unfair stuff.
But Hendo (that other unfair stuff vanguard) competed once again after the ban for a pre-existing agreement.
And broke that source of all disappointment and sorrow Shoguns nose for him.
