Bobby Lashley vs Titties, Batista?

Every time I write something about Kurt Angle or any other professional wrestler I feel like I’ve been bobbing for apples in a big bowl of diarrhea. While I’m not a big fan of jawing for fruit in liquid feces, I do it for you, dear reader. So I hope you enjoy this update on Bobby Lashley and his plans to climb back up onto the MMA cheddar train:

On November 11 in Lubbock, Texas, Lashley will face TUF 10 contestant Darrill Schoonover for the Shark Fights heavyweight title, the former pro wrestler told Ariel Helwani on Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour. It will be the first in his multi-fight deal with the Shark Fights organization, and Lashley hopes it will help build him back up after his short, unimpressive stay in Strikeforce.

“I believe [Strikeforce CEO Scott] Coker said this, he said he doesn’t believe that I want it,” Lashley said. “…I have all the respect in the world for Coker, and he may have been right. Maybe I wasn’t ready for Strikeforce at the time. …I didn’t have everything together and I wasn’t training the way I should have.”

Another fight Lashley wouldn’t mind is one with fellow WWE alum Dave Bautista, who was at one point rumored to be making his MMA debut in Strikeforce. That coming out party never materialized, but now that Lashley is with Shark Fights and Bautista is unsigned, Lashley has some ideas about how they could make it happen on a limited budget.

“If we do the fight, let’s do winner-take-all. Let’s put one purse up there, winner takes all,” said Lashley, who acknowledged that a bout between two former pro wrestlers might not be well received by every fight fan.

“I’d love to fight Dave. I guess that’s a super fight and that’s a fight for maybe the wrestling fans. I don’t know how well the MMA community would take it. I guess they would just sort of shrug their shoulders and say, ‘whatever,’ but I know it’s a fight that a lot of wrestling fans would love to see.”

You may remember Darrill Schoonover as Titties, the oft-bullied contestant from season 10 of the Ultimate Fighter. He’s gone 1-4 since his stint on TUF so you know he deserves this shot at the Shark Fights heavyweight title. When Bobby defeats him, we shall all know who the true champion is!

The funny part is that Titties already is the Shark Fights champ.  He won the title back in 2009 just before going on TUF, and hasn’t fought for them since.  But that’s normal, since most of their champs haven’t fought for them since, and two of them are now in the UFC.

I haven’t seen enough of Lashley to totally write him off. But I’ve seen enough of Lashley.

Demon versus Lashley, I’m down to watch that train wreck.  Who will gas first?  Ref needs a cattle-prod for the second and third rounds.

And Tiddies?  This is plain sad.  I think James Thompson would be better at this point.  And then fight Monson.  But Tiddies?  Tiddies?  What the shit?

When BL first got in to MMA, I liked that he seemed to be taking it slow and building himself up the “right” way, not riding the pussy train straight to the top before he had earned like Cock Chestner.

Now though, it’s clear he wants to whip cans all his life and pad a meaningless record. Fuck him.

I dislike him for being a dull juicebag who wasted screentime from guys who’ve learned more martial arts than Grab Guy And Oppress Him Fu, but I actually kinda respect him for realizing he isn’t learning shit and isn’t good enough to fight anyone of footnote.
