Vladamir Matyushenko vs Jason Brilz @ UFC 122 Germany (Nov 13)
Do you like wrestling? There’s a good chance you might get to see some as VladMat’s karmic payback for lay’n’praying the earlier half of the 2000s arrives in the form of Jason Brilz. Brilz just ‘lost’ against Lil Nog in June where his tenacious wrestle wrestle wrestle attitude won over the crowd’s previously apathetic heart. It’s not going to be any surprise where he’s going to want to take this fight, although expect old man Matyushenko to try and keep things on the feet where he knows he has a striking edge.

Joe Warren vs Michihiro Omigawa @ DREAM.16 (Sept 25)
Our favorite pot smoking Olympic washout Joe Warren isn’t slacking off this fall. A few weeks after he’s set to take on Joe Soto for the Bellator featherweight title (s2 winner vs s3 winner aw yeaaah), he’ll reportedly be braving the bouncing checks and sketchy promises of Japan to fight Michihiro Omigawa at DREAM’s sweet 16 party. Omigawa is ranked 8th at featherweight and Warren at 21 but expect to see wrasslin’ win the day unless Japanese judges are feeling unusually partial to whatever Omigawa can do off his back.

Marloes Coenen vs TBA @ Golden Glory 12 (Oct 16)
Another fighter who’s stacking up bookings where she can. One week after she’s set to fight Sarah Kaufman for the Strikeforce 135 pound belt, Coenen will be fighting at that Golden Glory event with the tournament that used to be awesome. Various possibilities including losing to Sarah and promotional sketchiness might end up nixing her appearance though.

Jorge Rivera vs Alessio Sakara @ UFC 122 Germany (Nov 13)
This is a slugfest fight between two middle of the pack middleweights that was originally supposed to happen this week at UFC 118 before injuries killed it. Both guys are famous for finishing or being finished in the first round, so bathroom breaks during this fight are discouraged. Whoever wins this fight can look forward to getting outskilled by a lower end 185 contender early in 2011.

Gilbert Yvel vs Jon Madsen @ UFC 121: Lesnar vs Velasquez (Oct 23)
Bad news: Duffman is out of this fight with Jon Madsen due to a knee injury (poor bastard seems to be falling apart all the time). Good news: Violence-fu fighter Gilbert Yvel is stepping in to replace him. Bad news: Jon Madsen is great at getting on top of fighters and lying on them. Good news: That’s Gilbert Yvel’s Achilles heel! Wait a second, that’s not good news … unless you’re Jon Madsen.
