Brazil’s cutting edge medical attention

Vitor Belfort gets the metal pin in his hand taken out. I’m impressed by the delicate procedure the doctor uses to remove that sucker. Remind me never to get any dentistry performed in Brazil.

That’s how they do it everywhere. Destroyed my wrist a few years back in a motorcycle accident in Hawaii and had to get a plate and a pin. When the pin came out they used ordinary pliers just like they did in this video. The pin is just there for temporary stabilization and alignment. No other way to get it out and it does not hurt at all.

I doubt that medical safety is as much of a concern as the totally perverted experience.

I hate to admit my own lower rung on the social ladder,

but brah-zillians seem to be much greater metalheads!!!

Without even knowing it as far as I can tell!

Yeah, even in us developed countries, surgery isn’t nearly as delicate as we’d like to believe.

  • Reverend Clint

i think they have progressed much farther in plastic surgery

Removing a metal pin from your skeleton, not so bad. Swabing the exit hole afterwards…

“assim que você quer ser um lutador?”

  • ButtHorn

They have progressed exponentially beyond even our most theoretical cup technology!

I live in Slovenia, our health care is just below the USA ( i think about 30th in the world) and when I broke my wrist the doctor did exactly the same thing. Pulled some pliers from his pocket and pulled the pin out in 2 seconds….

cue leti’s story from when he was hit by a semi truck and his limbs popped off…

  • Giallo

whats with the complete sentance in your last post buttcorn, I’m fuckin disapointed man.

  • ButtHorn

    Iampheonix is kinda funny.

  • Carcass

    Sorry to be a pedant but that’s a k-wire, not a pin.
And yes, as others have pointed out – once its healed, we just whip the bugger out.  Why faff about when its already exposed and will come out with a bit of well-applied controlled force.
Anyone who has seen me reducing fractures or dislocated knees will know what I mean!

  • Giallo

what is this shit? I didn’t link the word complete to anything.

  • frickshun

    I NEVER faff, Carcass!!

Phoenigga–>Butthurt has no faffing clue what you’re talking about.
