Chuck still on the fence about retiring

He’s repeated pretty much the same thing nearly every step of the way, but just in case you were wondering what Chuck Liddell was saying about returning to the cage now that he’s done Dancing with the Stars, here’s his latest comments from Sherdog:

“I needed some time off,” said Liddell. “’Dancing’ actually gave me something to concentrate on and get in shape on. I just want to get back in shape and stay in shape and start training with people and see what I want to do.”

Liddell, along with coach John Hackleman, will likely decide the fighter’s next move on the mats.

“(White) wants me to look at it, to see how I feel in the gym. I always told him, I want to make that decision in the gym, so I want to get back there and move around with some people and see how I feel. If I feel good, I’m going to keep fighting to come back.”

One rumor he squelched was the idea of him competing in different weightclasses, which in turn killed the rumor that he might fight Kimbo Slice sometime in the future. Unless of course you believe the rumor that Kimbo might be moving down to 205. In which case you probably think about rumors way too much. Regardless, Chuck responded to the possibility of a Kimbo fight the way he’d respond to a theoretical “What if you had to give Rosie O’Donnell a rimjob for 20 minutes to get back into the UFC?” question: “I guess I’d do it, if that’s what I had to do to come back.”
