You’d never guess it looking at this video (wtf toe), but Cung Le’s foot is apparently in good enough shape for him to accept a November 10th fight with Rich Franklin in Macau. The UFC on FUEL event will be the UFC’s first event in China ever and is being held at the Venetian Macau, the largest casino in the world.
Cung joins Koreans Dong Hyun Kim and UFC newcomer / ROAD FC veteran Kyung Ho Kang as the Asian contingent booked on this card thus far. Expect a bunch of Japanese fighters to get added as well – unbooked fighters right now include Kid Yamamoto, Takanori Gomi, and Hatsu Hioki. Akiyama too, if he’s recovered from the knee injury that took him off UFC 149. Mongolian-Chinese fighter Zhang Tiequan is also due for another fight, which would certainly gives the UFC enough ‘local’ flavor for their Chinese debut.
