Popeye’s Chicken held true to their word, just like Daniel Cormier this past weekend.
Cormier promised to send Patrick Cummins crashing to the canvas Saturday night at UFC 170 – which he did.
For his efforts in training, “DC” and his family were awarded some food from his favorite restaurant on Sunday.
Cormier talked about giving up the fast food way of life after deciding to move down to light heavyweight from heavyweight. He did admit to having a plate – or two – after news of Rashad Evans’ injury canceling the fight was made known.
In the days following, though, the UFC signed Cummins to replace Evans and the two former training partners squared off. Cormier scored an easy first round TKO victory.
