DREAM 5 coverage late Sunday night

If you haven’t gotten your fill of MMA yet, then you might have a bit of an addiction. Personally, I’ve had nearly all I can take. But the weekend ain’t over yet. It’s a holiday in Japan and DREAM is taking advantage of that, scheduling its Lightweight Grand Prix Finals for Monday 3pm Japan time. What time is that over here on the east coast of North America? 2AM.

But we’re troopers here, so we’ll be providing live play by play coverage and the chatroom will be open to the rest of you hardcore motherfuckers. See you then.

The lineup, as of a few hours ago:

Lightweight Grand Prix:

Eddie Alvarez vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri
Shinya Aoki vs. Caol Uno
[Winners of Alvarez/Kawajiri and Aoki/Uno will fight in the main event]
Joachim Hansen vs. Kultar Gill (Reserve Bout)

Non-Tournament Bouts:

Mark Hunt vs. Alistair Overeem
Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Katsuyori Shibata
Kuniyoshi Hironaka vs. Motoki Miyazawa
Hideo Tokoro vs. Takeshi Yamazaki
Joe Benavidez vs. Junya “Kodo” Kudo
Daisuke Nakamura vs. Andy Ologun

**UPDATE** Show starts at 2AM, not 5AM. Thank baby Jesus.
