Dana has said Chuck is done fighting. Chuck’s coach has said he doesn’t want him to continue. But the one guy who actually gets to decide (until commissions start wearing big boy pants and drawing a line) isn’t so sure. From Yahoo Sports:
“There’s a lot still to think about,” Liddell said. “I felt pretty good and I think showed I can compete. I’m not going to rush and I’ll do what I think is best. I’m just not at a point to make that decision yet.”
Yep, it looks like we’re headed towards another Dana / Chuck retirement spat. Don’t worry too much though. At the very worst, Dana can string Chuck along for a year or so with the promise of that TUF coach fight against Tito Ortiz. Considering Tito is recovering from a second spinal fusion surgery, it could take a while for him to be well enough to fight, if ever. But won’t that be a freakish fight when it finally happens: Captain Knockout vs Fusion Man! It’s less superhero than it sounds.
