The WEC makes a rather triumphant return to Las Vegas tomorrow, marking their first card there this year after traveling to Edmonton, Sacramento (twice) and Columbus in the interim. While currently Faberless (Urijah was set to make his 135 lb debut against Mizugaki before getting hurt, and the WEC decided to merely delay the fight rather than fill Faber’s spot and keep Takeya on the card), we’ll see his teammate Joseph Benavidez attempting to avenge his only loss in a rematch against current champion (and currently undefeated AT 135 [hat tip to Have You Masturbated To PRIDE Today for the correction) Dominick Cruz.
Now, on to the bets! (Every time a Jackal signs up for a free BetUS account via that link, Ryan puts another seven words together towards his next post on the site. Together, my friends, we can get him to knock out at least a paragraph or two. Sign up!)
While the University of Colorado has tragically fucked up Direct Deposit and I’m currently checking my mailbox every fifteen minutes or so for a big fat check, it’s probably not going to make it to me before this card starts (despite BetUS’s lightning fast deposits, generous bonuses and 24/7 customer care, etc ad nauseum), which may be all well and good – I’m going to update this post later with specific recommendations after I see the weigh-ins. That’s another great thing about MMA betting – you can place them up until the card itself begins (prelims, not PPV telecast), and observing the weigh-ins can be an excellent chance to capitalize on a fat/drained fighter’s misery and put some scratch on his opponent. It’s less common with these little bastards – how can you weight 145 lbs and be fat? – but I’m not about to tell mien Jackals to put their hard-earned money (selling plasma ain’t easy) on someone that might look like a skeleton in a couple of hours.
Check back with me, and I’ll have a jump thingy here. Until then, pick the main event.
