Lashley Gets Semi-legit Opponent

The UG (AKA ‘Cheap substitute for a press release’) has a posting by Christian Printup, the owner of Palace Fighting Championships, detailing his next card:

On Friday night February 6th at the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino Bobby Lashley (1-0) will take on Mike Hayes (4-0) in one of 7 PFC special attraction bouts on a joint boxing/mma card. The boxing portion of the evening will be televised by SHOWTIME for the popular SHOBOX series with a main event of Olympic Gold Medalist Andre Ward (17-0, 12 KOs) defending his NABO Super Middle weight title in a very compelling bout with Henry Buchanon (17-1, 12 KOs).

Also in PFC action:

Chad Mendes vs Shannon Slack-Featherweights

Erin Toughill vs Adrienne Jenkins- Lightweight (147 lbs)

Alexis Vila vs Ben Ngyuen-Flyweights

Hector Lombard vs TBA- Middleweights

Brandon Cash vs Steve Gavin- Heavyweights

Mike Hayes is a dude who debuted in Strikeforce during their trainwreck Tacoma, WA show in February 2008. Hayes is undefeated in MMA with four wins, his opponents are a “meh” combined 20-17. Considering the fact that Lashley was given a co-main event slot to two UFC and PRIDE veterans for his first MMA match you’d think he would be given lambs forever. Hayse is a pretty respectable sophmore opponent, his last win in November 2008 was over a guy Cain Velasquez ” target=”_blank”>short night.
