poor souls. they went before their time.
can’t forget the death of Matt Hughes… wait that has yet to happen.
@clint notestine: But it’s inevitable.
Actually, let’s hope Hughes wins so that I can give a shit when he takes on BJ inevitably.
“Matt Hughes has had to withdraw from UFC 85 with what he describes as ‘Rapture Rupture’. Apparently Mr. Hughes (45-time UFC welterweight champ) was hoping so very heard for the Rapture that he blew out his Jesus gland. Said Hughes,’ I blame Christ my savior for this. He really failed to step up to the plate.’ Hughes unable to comment on the length of his recovery, stating ‘It’s really up to Jesus, thanks a lot you fucker.’ “
If what happened to UFC 85 happend to a DREAM card the nazi-internet-haaaaate-machine would explode.
UFC gets away with way too much buuulllllshiiiizzzz.
The difference is these guys aren’t fighters who were booked without being told they were booked, or listed as fighting for weeks after it’s been known that they’re injured We like to think we’re mocking 85 enough … is “Lest we forget” too kind?
I’m a firm believer that the 85 curse is the universes way of telling the UFC this silly International expansion is a money pit.
Sorry for being such a douche fightlinker, but a golden rule when you make a picture montage is make sure that the people are looking towards the centre. Chonan and Irvin should face the other way, or else it looks like they are about to leave the picture.
According to Dave Meltzer, Chonan pulled out due to a rib injury: http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/news/headlines/default.asp?aID=23003
