Jeff Monson seems to have a hard time understanding certain things. For one thing, his definition of anarchy is pretty far off what most people recognize as anarchy. For another, his idea of how marriage and relationships work also seems slightly skewed. But a man can have his own dumb beliefs, I suppose … so long as they don’t run headfirst into that annoying wall known as reality. Here’s Jeff setting himself up for one such encounter:
Monson, 37, had been charged with first-degree malicious mischief, a felony carrying a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
“The maximum I can get for this charge is 90 days,” Monson said Tuesday. “That’s if we don’t negotiate, they don’t drop it down to a misdemeanor. With no priors, with no history, and time for good behavior, I’d be out in 60 [days].”
Hmmm … an unrepentant anarchist defendant and photographic evidence of him committing the crime. What could go wrong???
