“Mighty Mouse” Talks John Dodson, Henry Cejudo

Demetrious Johnson has been on a roll since the UFC created the flyweight division, turning back all challengers and laying claim to being one of the top fighters in the world.

Now, the current UFC 125-pound champion must turn back the challenge of John Dodson for a second time. The two meet Saturday night in the main event of UFC 191.

“My last five title defenses speak for themselves,” said the champion, during a recent interview on UFC Tonight. “I knocked out Joseph Benavidez, who had never been finished. I submitted Kyoji Horiguchi, who’s never been finished. I finished John Moraga, who had never been finished. I’m the champion and I’m getting better all around.”

The 29-year-old “Mighty Mouse” scored a 2013 decision win over Dodson and has locked up three submission, a knockout and a decision win since. And while he’s made quick work out of the likes of Chris Cariaso and Benavidez, he is still more than willing to push things as long as needed.

“I don’t make predictions,” he said. “It’s a long night and a lot of hard work, and I love working hard.”

As for those that believe the division will be “cleaned out” once Johnson faces Dodson a second time, the man atop it all isn’t buying that.

“Not at all. There’s still a menace in the division, undefeated Henry Cejudo,” he said. “If he gets past his next opponent, I’ll take away that zero from him.”
