Recent rumors had Sean Sherk vs. Roger Huerta all but signed for UFC 97. Then a source close to Huerta comes out and says that the fighter hasn’t been approached for any such fight. WHO AM I SUPPOSED TO BELIEVE?!?
Well, it looks like the guy who knows Huerta wasn’t just blowing smoke out of his ass. Sherk will likely be taking on highly regarded contender Frankie Edgar at UFC 98 instead. ‘The Answer’ has come out victorious in bouts with Jim Miller, Tyson Griffin, Spencer Fisher, and Hermes Franca to emerge as one of the top contenders in the lightweight division. The lone loss on his record came from the much bigger Gray ‘The Bully’ Maynard. After rebounding from a brutal loss to B.J. Penn at UFC 84 in May, Sherk edged out a decision over Tyson Griffin at UFC 90 in what was considered Fight of the Night.
This all begs the question: “But what about my Latin love machine Roger Huerta?” That’s not gay, that’s just what they call him. And by ‘they’ I mean me when I’m alone. Totally not gay. What are you looking at? Arrrggghhh I love cage fighting and beef jerky. Queers.
