Nick Diaz calls GSP out for his suck ass performance

Shortly after Georges St.-Pierre proved that aint no knee surgery gonna stop him from taking a fool down and beating on him, Nick Diaz, who was apparently watching, and surprisingly can navigate such basic modern functions as Twitter, issued a seemingly innocuous tweet: “I am not impressed by your performance.”

Who knew Nick Diaz had such a sense of humor? The reference was of course to GSP’s famous quote from back in 2006 when he came into the cage at UFC 63 after Matt Hughes had just beaten BJ Penn and pissed all in his grits, ya know, back when GSP would do shit like that, when he wasn’t always so annoyingly polite. Although it was more like, “I em not impressed by your performonce,” you still gotta love the fact that Diaz is so out there that he could say something like that after GSP’s awesome showing against Carlos Condit.

The tweet was brought up to GSP at the post-fight press conference, whereby he replied, “I did better than Diaz against Carlos.” Hard to argue with that.

Diaz is no doubt trying to rebuild some interest in a showdown with GSP down the road. It’d be a great fight, but who knows if that’s ever going to happen. Dana White has injected a major does of uncertainty into the 170 and 185 pound divisions with his insistence that GSP and Anderson Silva will fight, even though neither guy seems all that interested at the moment.

Diaz is scheduled to come off suspension in February of 2013, and a rumored opponent for him is Josh Koscheck. Who knows what the hell GSP is gonna be doing next. This is a wait and see thing.
