Return of the Kevin Iole Retard Watch

I know I’ve been kinda slack on the Kevin Iole bashing lately. But there’s only so many times a dude can be a total retard before I stop caring. It’s front page news if someone like Albert Einstein shits his pants or whips out his cock but when a homeless dude does it, it’s to be expected. And at this point I just expect Kevin to be a total moron. So why keep writing about it?

I don’t want to give him a complete pass though. Last week he was pretty retardo with his breakdowns on Lesnar vs Mir and Sylvia vs Big Nog. Sure, his predictions were closer to correct than mine, but we’re not talking about me here! And besides, anyone can be wrong predicting fights. But when you give Frank freaking Mir a higher conditioning score than Big Nog, then there’s something seriously wrong with your analytical reasoning. Like … ‘go see a doctor’ wrong.

And now he’s following that shitty pre-fight analysis with shitty post-fight analysis, shouting from the mountaintop that Frank Mir is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. I kept mum when he printed Dana White’s absurd Mir/Penn comparison … I understand that Kevin is unable to betray his master in things like this. But now Kevin is trying to sell both Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir as soon-to-be champions and it just drives me fucking batty.

No, there is nothing ‘factually wrong’ with Kevin’s latest writing. It’s all opinion based, and people are allowed to have their own opinions. But shame shame double triple fucking shame on Yahoo for giving this bozo one of the biggest soapboxes on the internet. It makes me cringe that new fans are coming in and reading this shit thinking it’s anywhere near logical.

“It makes me cringe that new fans are coming in and reading this shit thinking it’s anywhere near logical”

I sometimes cry myself to sleep with that thought.

Iole needs to be stopped!! Now!

When Mir sweats gravy seeps out of his pores.

  • Jemaleddin

So if Mir takes that lovely fight money (what was it, $140K?) and uses it to train and work out full time for his next fight, where do you think it would get him?

He’s only 28, so he could do a lot to improve his cardio and his strength and speed if he were working full time. Frank’s obviously physically gifted (if not at Brock’s level), being faster than most heavyweights, and big enough to mix it up with even guys like Brock..

He’s certainly got the “jits” to be one of the best, and even if you think the guy is an arrogant jerk, his color commentary on the WEC (it’s a bit up and down, admittedly) shows that he really does get the strategy aspects of the game as well as anyone this side of Randy. He could stand to work on his striking, but $140K would pay for a lot of Muay Thai lessons.

So the question is, if everybody is willing to believe that 30-year-old Brock can improve so far beyond his (ahem) humble MMA beginnings, what about Frank? He’s got at least 10 years of fight left in him easy – where could he fit in?

And I’d say that he’s got the time and skills to be champion material at some point, and against the right opponents. Disagree?

  • mmaninja

what an incredible wanker that guys is.

You’d think that yahoo being “hip” and “in the online know” they’d figure this faker out.

    Hope Microsoft fires his ass

  • fightlinker

I’m all for Mir and Brock training hard and doing well in the future. But people have to stop vomiting hype about these two. Brock is more green than kermit the frog. Mir was one or two losses away from washing out of the ufc. Now they’re both suddenly champion caliber?

  • cingred

Fightlinker, you are so cute when you are serious. Lucky your dumbass doesn’t have a soapbox. Then they would be writing about you. Last week, you gurgled Brock Lesnar till he had the dry heaves. Now he is too hyped? Oh wait, it is all getting clear, Forrest Griffin hates you because you are a cum guzzling, fan boy, MMA blogger that hasn’t the first clue about MMA; ‘Cept that it is hard to keep your balance when being swept from guard or bucked off from mount.

Have a nice day. MMA definitely needs more bloggers like you.

  • fightlinker

Saying Brock was going to beat Mir was less about Brock being good as it was about Mir being bad.

I could also be jealous that Iole is stealing my ‘idiot blogger’ schtick ;-)

  • cingred

Yep, you are right – they both suck (Mir more) and they have no business being considered contenders based on, well, their past championships? MMAth in full effect, boyeeeee!!!

  • kermit.01

Hey, hey, no comparing Brock to me thanks..

I think whats being said about both Lesnar and Mir is if they train seriously both have potential to be top stars. However like its been said 30 is pretty hold to start an MMA career, no matter who you train with. We’ll see what happens with Mir. I think Frank looked in better shape then I can remember seeing him post accident. This will either light a fire under him or he’ll fizzle out.

But I guess that arguement could be made for any fighter.

  • Vess

At least he gets paid well on his soapbox, ET TU, FL?

  • cingred

30 might be old for an average dude. But Brock is far from average. He has the tools to succeed. He, more than anyone, could be worth the hype.

  • ubertwat

You need to put a handsome manly photo of Kevin on your post so it doesnt look like your bullying a pasty little nerd.

  • JoeRoganIsAnAss

Nice. Love the Bret “The Hitman” Heart reference tossed in the middle there FL.

Both fighters were game, but I gotta give the edge to Frank in the Heart Department. He takes a beating, slips in the kneebar, & taps a noob. Letting every other noob know that the bigger stronger man doesn’t always win in a fight.

    “Oh you didn’t know!?!”

  • danaunclefesterwhite

Fightlinker goes from saying pre-Brock fight that Mir is a guy that can’t take a beating and thus has no chance against Lesnar to now saying that Mir’s potential is even greater than Lesnar’s. Interesting. I agree that Mir has more potential than Lesnar. Just because a dude is big, strong and fast for his size doesn’t guarantee anything. But Lesnar does have potential and he is a marketable heavyweight. His mic skills aren’t that great but his style is exciting. He’s no lay n pray. He’s out to kill with his ground n pound. If there is one thing that the UFC needs, it’s more exciting wrestlers like Brock Lesnar in my opinion.

But Frank Mir, when in shape, healthy and motivated, is full of promise. After the fight, I must say that I’ve appreciated Frank Mir’s talent even more than I have before the fight (even when I figured he would win beforehand).

  • fightfan

Mir is a great BJJ practioner, and overall a pretty good mma fighter. He will never again have the belt or be a top HW. His striking skills are pothetic and his conditioning is average on his best day.

We all seen what a good striker with good ground skills can do to Mir. Vera beat him to a pulp in a minute. I expect the same whenver Mir has to fight a striker with good ground game

  • Jemaleddin

And my point is that Mir has the skills and the tools to get back in the game, especially when you consider how young he is.

My other point is that Brock is a freak of nature (and a freak of science) and we should all recognize that he’s only in the cage for the same kind of freak shows as Giant Silva and Hong-Man Choi. Expect his next opponent to dance around the ring and pepper him with leg kicks before sinking in the choke. Unless they put him in with a real striker, in which case he’ll end up on the ground crying like Bob Sapp (another freakshow).

  • danaunclefesterwhite

Brock Lesnar is a freakshow but I don’t think it’s fair to compare him to Giant Silva, Zuluzinho Bob Sapp or even Choi Hong-Man. Giant Silva is a talentless giant oaf piece of crap. Zuluzinho is a talentless morbidly obese piece of shit. Bob Sapp is a talentless NFL reject who relies purely on his strength and size to beat smaller guys in MMA and in K-1. Choi relies on his insane reach and size in K-1 to beat guys but he’s slower, lacks agility and is lumbering compared to Brock Lesnar.

To Sapp’s credit though, he did KO K-1 kickboxing legend Ernesto Hoost once but I haven’t seen that fight. I bet something weird must have went down because you’d have to be the shit in order to KO one of the greatest K-1 legends. Also Choi did manage to beat Schilt once by split decision but I didn’t see that fight so I can’t comment. I bet the judges gifted him that decision since it’s clear that FEG has a hard-on for freakshows.

  • danaunclefesterwhite

Forgot to add: Brock Lesnar on the other hand is at least fast and agile for his size and he has an amateur wrestling background. For a freakshow, Lesnar has talent. He’s just heavily over-rated and too inexperienced to really amount to anything significant at this point.

  • twankydawg

    Cunty McWanker…Bahahahahahahahahahaha..
…..fucking priceless!!! That’s the kind of shit that keeps me coming here, i scroll down and see that and laugh so hard I fell out of my chair at work.
