Soa Palelei is back, guys!

After five years spent killing people in, err, MMA hotbed of Australia, Soa Palelei has now signed for a return to the UFC against Stipe Miocic in June.  Sherdog reports:

The June 15 event will also see Mauricio “Shogun” Rua rematch Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at 205 pounds, while heavyweight Stipe Miocic welcomes Australian Soa Palelei back to the Octagon. The UFC 161 main event has yet to be announced.

In a UFC debut Pedro Nobre would have found weak, “The Hulk” bounced out of the UFC one-and-done stylez in one of the worst heavyweight fights ever against Eddie Sanchez at UFC 79 – as a lead-in to Chuck Liddell vs. Wanderlei Silva, as it were. Congrats on setting that historic moment up properly, guys.

Since then, Palalei has gone 10-1 with all finishes and the sole loss to Daniel Cormier.  He’s a twitter juggernaut and seemingly an obvious upgrade from Anthony Perosh for the UFC’s Aussie stable.  To celebrate, your healthy dose of violence AFTER THE JUMP…
