Some Strikeforce fighters are getting paid, son!

Strikeforce’s pay figures are out and you can recreate the main card winners by picking out the guys who were paid way more than their opponents:

Luke Rockhold: $90,000 (includes $25,000 win bonus)
Keith Jardine: $30,000

Robbie Lawler: $150,000
Adlan Amagov: $10,000

Muhammed Lawal: $95,000 (includes $15,000 win bonus)
Lorenz Larkin: $17,000

Tyron Woodley: $60,000 (includes $30,000 win bonus)
Jordan Mein: $9,000

Tarec Saffiedine: $31,000 (includes $15,500 win bonus)
Tyler Stinson: $4,000

Gian Villante: $20,000 (Includes $10,000 win bonus)
Trevor Smith: $4,000

Robbie Lawler made 15 times more than Adlan Amagov, but that’s more of a testament to Robbie’s manager than anything else. To put his pay into perspective, consider this: Nate Diaz made 74k at UFC 141, Donald Cerrone 30K. Even factoring in their 75k FOTN bonuses, they still made less than Mr Lawler! So don’t cry too much for these Strikeforce guys. Some of them have contracts negotiated with the old guard.

GODDAMN, these cats are pulling in UFC money while not in the UFC.

They get to fill their pockets while fighting B and C tier fighters, can’t hate on that arrangement.

  • fightlinker

yeah paying Luke Rockhold 65k/25k is nutso.

  • Joon4s

60k for Woodley, that’s just wrong.

  • thingvolds

150k is probably enough to cover lawler’s expenses for one year. hope he’s got good sponsors or he wont be able to retire until he’s 62

  • fightlinker

if you’re living out in the countryside and need 150 large to get through the year, you’re doing something wrong. 150 grand is 7 times the american family median

I would take 9,000 to let Woodly lay on me for 15 minutes while he sweats buckets. kinda like being a whore but at least an expensive one.
