Watch Brian Stann be a hero
We make fun of Brian Stann for being marketed as a Real American Hero so much, but goddamnit he fits the bill. The military didn’t give him a medal for most granite-ish jaw (even though they should), but he did get a Silver Star for pulling his battalion through a crazy ambush that almost killed a bunch of them. We’ve talked about it on the site before, but now UFC Ultimate Insider (or is it Ultimate UFC Insider? ULTIMATE!) has a bunch of footage and audio from the mission. This one goes out to jackal iamphoenix who’s deploying to Afghanistan. No coming home without your own collection of Silver Stars. Preferably for something safe like paperwork filing or excellence in latrine duty.

They went back and gave that sacrifice to recover an immobile tank? Why didn’t the superiors just drop a bomb on the tank? Another odd story of war. Seems like another BS setup mission.

I doubt my command would be able to do anything about what I post on here. I have not said anything about not following the presidents orders. I also have not killed 16 civilians. The worst I would have done is not processed their paperwork. -

Hard to believe those guys survived. Pause it at the 24 – 25 second mark and look how close it came to pancaking that guy on the ground. Fucking crazy.
