There’s a WEC event on tonight at 9PM on Versus, and there’s several interesting matches on the card. Both Mike Brown and Leonard Garcia are out to prove that they’re the real deal, so expect a toss up war that could go either way. Jose Aldo is going to tear Chris Mickle’s throat out in a fight that’s so lopsided the bookies have Aldo at -800 and Mickle at +550. And Marcus Hicks will try to keep his stubby dinosaur arms from causing him another KO loss.
We’ll be doing the standard live chat for the event plus a post-event blog or two. No Low Blow radio show afterwards though … we’ll break down the card on Tuesday’s show alongside this month’s mailbag.
Last but not least, here’s the odds for the event if you feel like betting. As usual we recommend BetUS since they give us moneys whenever one of the jackals signs up. We’ve been able to survive as a blog up to this point because of the support they give us via you guys, so it’s always appreciated. Plus, I don’t think there’s anything more dangerously exhilarating than betting your mortgage payment on Chris Mickle. Maybe spraying a cop with mace and making a run for it. Maybe.
Leonard Garcia (+145) vs Mike Brown (-185)
Ricardo Lamas (+210) vs Bart Palaszewski (-280)
Chris Mickle (+550) vs Jose Aldo (-800)
Marcus Hicks (+125) vs Rob McCullough (-155)
Phil Cardella (+140) vs Danny Castillo (-170)
Marcos Galvao (+120) vs Damacio Page (-150)
Rafael Rebello (-110) vs Kenji Osawa (-120)
Greg Mcintyre (+160) vs Alex Karalexis (-200)
John Franchi (-130) vs Mike Budnik (Ev)
Justin Haskins (+160) vs Mike Pierce (-200)
Alex Serduykov (+250) vs Johny Hendricks (-350)
Don’t ask me who to bet on … the only picks I feel relatively confident of are Bart, Jose, and McCullough. If you wanna come into this card a bit more educated, then I’d recommend this breakdown via MMA Weekly.
