What the fuck is up with Mirko Crocop???

Okay, here’s a clusterfuck of a situation. The UFC says they want Mirko Crocop to fight. Mirko Crocop keeps saying he wants to fight. Yet days and weeks have gone by, events have been booked and still there is nary a sign of Croat-checkered tights on the UFC’s horizon. So what the fuck is going on? Is this another case of Dana White double-speaking like with Andrei Arlovski? Is this a case of Mirko Crocop trying to muddy the waters as he prepares to jump ship?

Who fucking knows.

All I do know is that there’s a common thread connecting a whole bunch of bullshit : Ken Imai. Who the hell is that? That’s Crocop’s retardo Japanese manager. He also happens to be Takanori Gomi’s manager. Now I’m not smart enough to be talking indepth about the crazy shit going on over in Japan or what’s up regarding anything with Japanese fighters or fight policy. But one thing I will say in general terms just so you all can play along at home is this: Ken Imai is the guy behind all the bullshit that’s been happening with Mirko Crocop, Takanori Gomi, and the UFC. I’d bet my left nut this whole thing is his damn fault.

There seems to be a general rule in MMA lately that if you involve the Japanese or the Russians, shenanigans will occur. I’m all for zesty shenanigans that result in more fights for all. The drama’s great for site traffic, and who doesn’t love some insane backroom dealings? But lately all the zest has been sucked from shenanigans and we’re left with my favorite fighters sitting out for months or years. And that just sucks balls.

I bet Dana doesn’t want to pay Mirko as much as he did in the last two fights, I actually think that’s fair since he hasn’t performed to the level that we expected. Along came Victory Road and promissed Cro Cop alot of money and that he only has to fight small japanese guys. If that’s the case I can’t see him fighting in the UFC anymore.

What about dropping down to LHW?? Isn’t that still an option?

I’d love to see it but i don’t think CroCop will do it. His mindset is that he wants to win at heavyweight. His pride is all that’s keeping him in it right now soooo yeah.

I would like to take this opportunity to question his heart as a fighter. Not that getting kicked in the head, and having a 240 lbs Black man sweat all over you for 15 minutes won’t do it. IMHO, Dana White set him up by tossing him that can, Eddie Sanchez, to begin with. But Cro Cop should have come in and faced competition right off the bat like everyone else.

Maybe he did need the nose surgery. Or maybe he needs to learn to keep that left hand up when checking a kick. I dunno.

His cup is all that’s keeping him in it right now.

Here’s the HOT SCOOP. One of Cro Cop’s guys on the Nokaut forums says Cro Cop had no idea of any deadline and is going to try and straighten things out. Seems like there’s major communication problems between the UFC and Cro Cop’s camp.

I tells you: Ken Imai fucking shit up.

  • ilostmydog

Ken Imai doesn’t represent Gomi anymore. He’s now with J-ROCK (Yoshida’s management company) IIRC.

  • ilostmydog

Or at least that’s what Jordan Breen had to say on the matter…

  • fightlinker

My bet is Imai was the one dangling Gomi in front of the UFC. Considering what’s said on the Nokaut forums i wouldn’t be surprised if Crocop ditches imai soon now too

Yeah, the Nokaut dudes are making it seem like Cro Cop really has his shit together and can’t wait to get back. Hes bulking up (which makes no sense if hes going to Japan), co-operating with that gym in Holland and hired his old K-1 coach (none of which makes sense if hes going to Japan).

i think he is gay by the way he looks at me
